DAY 5: Pssshhhhh... And they said this would be easy!

HOOOLLLYYYY CRAAAVINGS! I must say today was a test of willpower and determination. Not only did my boyfriend come home with an extra large Oreo milkshake and a sandwich with every sauce and cheese imaginable on it, but I came face to face with my all time favorite......brownies. Needless to say I did not eat any of those things and instead resorted to 10 strawberries. However, I managed to sneak in a sip of a milkshake which was out of this world. As for progress, I am starting to see some more definition and definitely excited for the end when I compare before and afters!!

I don't know about you, but finding healthy food gets more and more difficult. I am usually ok with the same old thing, but I am finding this is not the case. I do love my tri -tip and veggies, which I pair with an amazing salad and a baked potato. Remember do not get frustrated if foods and exercise become boring and monotonous. From talking to previous clients, I like to refer to this stage as the "who am I kidding" phase. We do not see results right away, our bodies are adjusting to new ways of eating, and we are now becoming regulars at the gym. This can be overwhelming for the mere fact that we are a society who preys on instantaneous results. STOP RIGHT THERE!! I applaud you and myself for having the courage to make a transformation. You must dig deep and find your focus, your will, and your diligence. Just remember to accept yourself before the transformation and after the transformation. No matter what, you, are awesome.

Tip of the Day: Please try and get your 7-8 hours of sleep, especially when putting your body under any sort of physical and mental stress (yes this means strength training). Your body uses REM sleep to recover and repair torn muscle and also many hormonal and metabolic processes take place during sleep as well.

This is the tri-tip I was telling you about from Trader Joe's! It is amazing!!! Let me know what you think?

Wait, aren't you supposed to stay away from red meat when trying to lose fat?

What I tell my clients is to listen to your body. When you eat red meat do you feel tired and sluggish after, feel normal, or get energy? For me, I get a crazy amount of energy which means my body accepts this forms of protein. ALWAYS take time to listen to what your body is telling you :)
