So recently the World Health Organization has come out with ground breaking news that meats, specifically processed, cause cancer. Something along the lines of "if you eat two pieces of ham a day your risk of cancer increases by 18%." While it is great they finally decided to question weather or not eating animals with tumors, scrotal sacs, intestines, skin, all ground into one might be cause for concern, we kind of already knew this. People have been preaching this for years. I am even grossed out by the idea of hot dogs and sausages. Have you ever taken the casing off of a sausage before you cooked it?.......Let me tell ya, definitely makes you loose your appetite. In addition, I find it funny how when big names are thrown around like the WHO and Cancer Institute we automatically become robots to their advice. Have you ever thought they might be telling you want you to hear?
How about this, did you notice that the meat industry, oh my, felt insulted at the idea of these statistics. The Vice President of the North American Meat Industry even said they basically made up the data about meat causing cancer. Now, while I do not know the tests they performed and how they went about it, I think it is common sense to understand antibiotics, growth hormone, animal by products, and inhumane living areas might make your meat not so healthy. Listen folks, it is not that meat is unhealthy it is the stuff we are putting in our meat. The way we are raising and killing animals, and farming fish. It is not the natural process. We want bigger, fatter, juicer meat like yesterday and so we found a way to dumb down quality and increase quantity. Us amazonians are not ok with this and this is exactly the reason why I started my amazon movement. We must become knowledgeable about what we are eating, how we are living, and the stress we are putting on our bodies.
FUN FACT: 2.6 Billion years ago, Paleolithic Age, we ate meat. When it was scarce we ate seeds, fruits, and veggies. Its part of the hunter gatherer concept (national geographic).
Those meat industries do not give a crap, excuse my language, about us little humans. They care about profit margin and pumping out as much meat as possible to fill their quota. So what would the Fitnez Amazon recommend you ask? Follow the list below:
