Hello Amazons!
So I wake up this morning and I find myself battling the idea of eating a piece of cookie dough and then a protein shake for breakfast. Don't worry this is not my usual breakfast, ok maybe I do it three times a week. To back my case, studies show eating 30grams of protein in the morning is a great way to kick start protein synthesis (muscle building) and amp up weight loss. After all the more lean muscle you have the faster you metabolism. Ok ok, but what this got me to realize was how everyone struggles with what they eat. Crap, its not even enjoyable anymore because one diet says you can have this and the other says you cant. Especially if your not a science nerd like me, diets would surely make anyone want to give up RIGHT?
The crazy thing is yo yo dieting is worse than just sitting on the couch and eating Twinkies. You can seriously damage your metabolism and make weight loss nearly impossible. The difficult part is knowing how to eat healthy and what measures to take that fits YOUR lifestyle!

Questions to Ask yourself before starting any new eating plan:
- Can I picture myself eating this way for the rest of my life?
- Do I know what I am doing to my metabolism when I start this program?
- Who created this "diet"?
- Are the results backed by more than 2 scientific studies?
Now most of you are going to be like ummmmmm no I don't ask these things, I just take what they say at face value! Don't get mad, you and many other do this too! Its whatever is hip and new right?
So what do you do? .........Follow these simple steps:
- Make healthy eating a lifestyle not temporary
- Do a little research and educate yourself
- Never be afraid to ask for help (Yes ask me!)
- NEVER be to extreme in your eating behaviors
