So I made it through the excruciating Day 1 and I hope you did not have too much trouble either! I think I was more tired than anything and to my benefit I was craving salad. Around 11pm last night, I went to the grocery store and stocked up on veggies, canned tuna, chicken breast, bacon, butter, pork chops, and ground turkey. I am waiting to visit Trader Joe's, as they have a wider variety of healthy foods to eat when on a limited eating plan!
I am personal training today and telling everyone about this new found journey. Many are receptive to the idea and are creating personal goals along with me. As for the physiological aspect, I can feel my body eliminating the crap I have so willingly filled it with. Its only 2pm and I have gone to the bathroom about 4 times lol. My water consumption is amping up to a gallon a day although my bladder has a different opinion. I am not yet craving sugar or wine, but trust me its definitely going to creep up.
I would have to say the hardest part about this, is the social aspect. Food is something to be enjoyed with friends and family, and of course I am the type to go out for a weekend martini or two, or three......! For all of my readers out there I would suggest talking to your significant other about your change and possibly doing it together. I basically told my other half this is what was happening, and well turns out HE LOVES MY COOKING! Or maybe he just deals with it so he doesn't have to cook! Either way, stay strong my friends and talk to you tomorrow!
Tip: Drink a full glass of water before any meal and this will create a sense of fullness preventing you from over consuming!
