Try It Out!!!
Many times we are plagued with so much information about the fitness industry we have a hard time distinguishing whats right and whats not! Currently, interval training takes the top spot for fat loss and even newer research shows it can promote muscle growth as well. Check these stats out.........
"The most recent study, out of Australia, reported that a group of females who followed a 20-minute HIIT program consisting of eight-second sprints followed by 12 seconds of rest lost an amazing six times more bodyfat than a group that followed a 40-minute cardio program performed at a constant intensity of 60% MHR" (simplyshredded.com).
"According to the American College of Sports Medicine,2 HIIT workouts tend to burn anywhere from 6-15 percent more calories compared to other workouts, thanks to the calories you burn after you exercise" (Mercola, 2015).
"For example, a study published in the journal Cell Metabolism5 in 2012, showed that when healthy but inactive people exercise intensely but briefly, it produces an immediate change in their DNA—some of which specifically promotes fat burning" (Mercola, 2015).
"High intensity interval training has been shown to have numerous clinical benefits for both healthy and ‘at risk’ populations. General practitioners are encouraged to discuss with their patients the concept of ‘evidence based exercise’ and using HIIT as part of their exercise program" (Barclay, 2012).
As you already know, The Fitnez Amazon (me), is quite big on science based research. I truly want my fans and readers to have confidence in the information I relay to them. As such, I am open to changing my opinion if I see your argument is backed by science. I think this is one of the most difficult aspects because everyone wants to be right. Not many people are transparent with their media, thus leaving many people frustrated when they do not hit their goals. If you do the routine above and are just starting out, YES you will initially lose weight! But in the latter part of your journey you will stall unless your on proper supplements and are following a clean eating plan.
Always remember when starting any new routine if you feel hesitant always ask questions. Also, being that interval training does elevate your heart rate rapidly it would be wise to check with your doctor or start out easy. Listen to your body and it will show you the way!
Please let me know any comments or concerns you may have regarding any of my posts. I greatly appreciate and respect the engagement of my followers and know I can change your life for the better. If your tired of too many trial and error diets or workout plans maybe its time to try something different?!?
